A spokesperson for Russia's foreign
ministry said the three were employees of the Russian energy company Interenergoservis.
"All possible measures are being taken for the fastest liberation of
our citizens," the ministry said in a statement. Employees
of the company are working at a power station in southern Baghdad. Interenergoservis
is considering withdrawing its more than 300 employees working in Iraq, Russia's
Itar-Tass news agency is reporting. Last
month, eight employees of the same company were taken hostage in Baghdad. They
